Bingo isn’t just for keeping grandma busy on a Wednesday night. It’s also a great way to help kids practice numbers! We’ve made special Bini Bambini Bingo boards with funny number characters your kid will love and that will engage them in learning quickly and effectively.
Learn the Numbers with Bini Bambini Bingo Boards
What’s the best way to engage kids in learning the numbers? You know our mantra: play and learn! So, we thought we’d update the classic game of Bingo with hilarious numbers and add it to the pool of preschool maths activities we’ve got to help your child learn to count.
First, take our bingo boards. (You can download them below.) Then, if your child’s just getting started in the world of numbers, see if they can say what numbers are on their board. It’s ok if they don’t know them all just yet because you’re there by their side.
Cut out the call-out numbers, mix them up, and place them face down or in a hat. Call them out one by one, and find them on the bingo board. Be careful because they can appear more than once on a single board!
The first to complete a line of numbers horizontally, vertically, or diagonally yells out, “Bingo!” and wins. Bingo is great to play in a group, so make sure to get friends and family involved.
Math Games for Kids: More than Just Numbers
When it comes to kids’ games for math practice, you might be surprised to find out that it’s not just numbers that kids get the hang of. Number learning may be the main goal, but develop communication skills, extend attention spans, learn to follow instructions, and build social skills.
Many parents worry that by playing competitive games, their child will become a sore loser. But it’s all in how you handle it. Model how they should act. Be happy for the winner and if you see another child getting upset, let them know that they did a good job and maybe they’ll win next time.
Make Numbers Enjoyable with Preschool Maths Worksheets
Kids start learning math as early as preschool, but it doesn’t have to be boring, rote exercises that make kids’ eyes glaze over as soon as they think about it. Studying maths can and should be engaging and enjoyable. We’ve got a ton of number and maths worksheets on Pinterest, and of course our Bini Bambini educational apps for children, that will inspire kids to learn.
